If you’re already paying for Nintendo Switch online or have been considering upgrading, Nintendo is currently offering one free bonus month of Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack for anyone who purchases, renews, or redeems a 12-month Individual or Family Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack membership and activates the promotion before July 28, 2026.
This extra month of service isn’t limited to new subscribers; existing Expansion Pack members will be able to claim the offer when they renew their membership, and existing Nintendo Switch Online subscribers can also take advantage of it when upgrading to the higher-tier plan. Nintendo will let you apply the remaining value of your current subscription toward an upgrade, with the amount credited depending on how much time is left on your current membership. The Expansion Pack includes online multiplayer, access to a library packed with classic games, and cloud saves—essentially, everything you can find in a standard Nintendo Switch online membership.
However, it also comes with a range of additional perks, including Nintendo 64, Game Boy Advance, and SEGA Genesis game libraries, and some DLC content, including Animal Crossing: New Horizons – Happy Home Paradise, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Booster Course Pass, and Splatoon 2: Octo Expansion. Nintendo has also expanded the service alongside the Switch 2 launch, giving eligible subscribers access to a steadily growing library of GameCube titles on the new console.
