The Best Bike Gear on Sale During October Prime Day

From water bottles to bike computers, there’s a ton of cool bike gear on sale during Amazon’s Prime Big Deal Days—provided you haven’t spent every last dime on your bike, of course.

Whether you’re a dedicated lifetime cyclist or a total newb, here are some bike-centric deals you can check out during Amazon’s latest sale event.

Garmin Tacx Boost Trainer

Winter is coming, but snow and cold are not excuses to stop training, especially when you can pick up this Garmin Tacx Boost Trainer, an indoor bike trainer, for half price: $149, down from $299. It sets up easily, and the 675 x 650 mm footprint takes up way less space than a dedicated stationary bicycle. And you still get 10 levels of resistance, a flywheel for realistic feel, and a magnetic brake. Best of all, it lets you can train on your actual bike.

Peloton’s Original Peloton Bike

Maybe the idea of training alone in your garage all winter is depressing. If so, you can share your misery with all the other people using Peletons. The Original Peloton Bike assembles quickly, fits in a 4′ x 2′ space, and features a 22-inch HD touchscreen for virtual group workouts and tracking your progress, a front-facing camera, Bluetooth connectivity, and a 16-watt sound system. All that for a Prime Day price of $1,095, marked down from $1,445. (Check out more about the Original Peloton Bike deal here.)

Garmin Edge 530 Sensor Bundle

Are you really a cyclist if a dedicated bike computer isn’t part of your cockpit? I say no. I also say a Garmin Edge 530 for $279.99 is a good deal. This GPS-enabled cycling computer features a color touchscreen that provides navigation, performance, and cycling awareness information to keep you on your route and on your training routine. Plus, it’s compatible with the inReach satellite communicator service, so your loved ones can keep track of your location on those long-ass rides.

CamelBak Podium Chill Insulated Bike Water Bottle

I bought one of these CamelBak Podium Chill water bottles a few weeks ago, so I can say from personal experience that it works great. It holds water, the water can be squeezed into your mouth easily, and it stays relatively chilled because it’s insulated. Plus it made me bike 37% faster (in my mind). But I paid $16 for mine, like a schnook. You don’t have to repeat my mistake: Some colors are on sale for as little as $9.65.

Apple Watch

Maybe a dedicated bike computer is more tech than you need for the all-important stat-keeping aspect of riding a bike. If so, consider an Apple Watch, which can keep track of your heart rate, distances traveled, and more. Plus, you can use it to do all the normal smartwatch junk like sending texts, making calls, streaming music as you ride, and seeing what time it is, all without your phone.

There are a ton of Apple Watch deals on Prime Big Deal Days this year, but perhaps the best deal is on last year’s Series 8, which offers many of the benefits of the Series 9 at a discounted price of $319. That said, the Series 9 has a slight discount of $10, so you can pick one up for as low as $389.

Activ Life LED Bike Wheel Lights

Maybe you’re not riding to stay in shape or commute. Maybe you want to impress people and say, “hey, look at me!” If so, these Activ Life LED lights for your wheels will make a bold statement. They’re easy to install, will make you extremely visible when it gets dark, and, according to Amazon’s product description, they are “loved by all ages, from young boys, girls, teens, and adults.” This universal bike-love can be yours for the Prime Day price of $11.99.

Multijoy Electric Bike

Cycling is fun, but you know what isn’t fun? All the pedaling. This Multijoy electric bike’s 750W brushless engine provides a top speed of 28 mph; it’s got those all-terrain fat tires that will take you anywhere; and it has a throttle control so you can decide to never pedal again. The 48V 20Ah removable LG cells battery promises you can ride up to 70 miles with pedal-assist mode on one charge. For Prime Day, it’s $1,083.59, down from $1,274.89.
