Prime Day is June 23 to 26, and Lifehacker is sharing the best sales based on product reviews, comparisons, and price-tracking tools before it’s over.

Prime Day’s tablet discounts range from inexpensive models for streaming and reading to premium devices capable of replacing a laptop. Prices start at $104.99 for Amazon’s Fire HD 8 Kids, while Samsung’s 512GB Galaxy Tab S11 is nearly $400 off. I’ve also noted where a stylus, case, or keyboard is included, since those extras can change the real cost considerably.

These Samsung tablets are up to 46% off

Samsung Galaxy Tab S11 (512GB): At $807.49, down from $1,199.99, Samsung’s latest flagship tablet is nearly $400 off and much easier to recommend than it is at full price. Its 11-inch screen gives you enough room for work and streaming without making the tablet awkward to carry, while DeX creates a more laptop-like setup for multitasking. Samsung also includes the S Pen instead of selling it separately. PCMag rated the Tab S11 “excellent,” and for Android users who want a premium, feature-complete tablet without the size of an Ultra model, this is the one to get.

Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 FE+ (13.1-inch, 256GB): At $554, down from $819.99, the Galaxy Tab S10 FE+ gives you a large-screen Android tablet for well under $600. Its 13.1-inch display is well-suited to streaming, productivity in Samsung DeX mode, and handwritten notes. Speaking of, Samsung includes the S Pen instead of charging extra for it, unlike many competitors. PCMag’s in-depth review offers a closer look at its performance and features.

Samsung Galaxy Tab A11+: At $160.55, down from $299.99, the Galaxy Tab A11+ is the inexpensive entry point in Samsung’s tablet lineup. It is best suited to streaming, reading, light browsing, and keeping kids occupied rather than demanding creative work, but the 11-inch screen and expandable storage give it more flexibility than most tablets at this price. It does not support the S Pen, though at 46% off, that is an easier compromise to accept.

These iPads are up to $100 off

Apple iPad Air (M4, 128GB): The 2026 11-inch iPad Air with the M4 chip and 128GB of storage is down to $519.99 from $599. The wifi and cellular version is also discounted and is at an all-time low at $669 from $749. This is the iPad to choose when the basic model is not powerful enough, but the iPad Pro’s OLED screen and higher price are unnecessary. Apple Pencil Pro and the Magic Keyboard are sold separately.

Apple iPad mini (A17 Pro, 128GB): At $399.99, down from $499, the A17 Pro iPad mini is Apple’s most capable small tablet yet. It uses the same chip found in the iPhone 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max, packed into an 8.3-inch device that can slip into a jacket pocket. It is an excellent fit for reading, annotating PDFs, sketching, or getting the full iPad experience in the smallest possible package. It also supports the Apple Pencil Pro, though the stylus is sold separately.

What do you think so far?

These Amazon, Lenovo, and Microsoft are up to 42% off

Amazon Fire HD 8 Kids (64GB): Best suited for kids ages three to seven, Amazon’s dedicated kids tablet is down to $104.99 from $179.99. It comes with a protective case, a two-year worry-free guarantee that covers replacements if it breaks, one year of Amazon Kids+ subscription, and extensive parental controls. A practical choice for parents who want a durable, managed device for their kids rather than a hand-me-down adult tablet.

Lenovo Idea Tab Plus: At $229.99, down from $279, the Lenovo Idea Tab Plus is a reasonably priced Android tablet for browsing, streaming, reading, handwritten notes, and everyday productivity. Lenovo also includes the Tab Pen and a folio case, making the modest discount more valuable than it first appears and keeping the overall price well below comparable Samsung and Apple alternatives.

Microsoft Surface Pro: Microsoft’s Amazon-exclusive 2024 Surface Pro is down to $869.99 from $1,004.54. It has a 13-inch OLED touchscreen, a Snapdragon X Elite processor, 16GB of memory, and 256GB of storage, making it the closest option here to a full Windows laptop in a detachable tablet form factor. For anyone who genuinely needs a portable Windows machine rather than just a media tablet, this is the deal.

Looking for something else? Retailers like Walmart and Best Buy run Prime Day-style sales that are especially useful if you don’t have Amazon Prime.
