If you have some big DIY projects to tackle, or you just want to be prepared to hang a shelf or fix a door hinge, you will need some tools. Getting a good quality set of cordless tools will save some money in the long run on replacing batteries and tools, but more durable tools also tend to be more expensive. DeWalt has been making cordless tools for decades, and their batteries can last for several years without needing to be replaced. Here are some deals on DeWalt cordless tools at Lowe’s for all your upcoming home maintenance chores.

Drill and driver set deals at Lowe’s

A drill and driver are the core of a cordless tool set, and these tools will stand up to daily use for at least ten years. I use this drill and driver set to build and repair furniture and to hang shelving almost every day at my shop, and the batteries are still good after more than five years of use.

The DeWalt 12-volt ½-inch drill and ⅜-inch impact driver set is $229, and you can add a 12-volt impact wrench, a 12-volt circular saw, or a 12-volt reciprocating saw for free at checkout. With these tools added, you get 42% off the bundle, and it includes two 12-volt, 2-amp-hour batteries and a charger. This is a good deal for a basic home maintenance set because it comes with batteries and a charger, and you can pick which tool will be most useful to you for appliance maintenance, projects like hanging shelving or artwork, or swapping out hardware on drawers and cabinets.

To access this deal, just click on the drill and impact driver set; when you click “add to cart,” there will be a prompt to choose your free tool.

Free battery deals at Lowe’s

Batteries can be the most expensive part of having a cordless tool set, and having enough of them to keep your tools running without needing to wait between charges can make your DIY projects go faster and more smoothly. Here are some deals on tools that come with free batteries.

The DeWalt 20-volt reciprocating saw is on sale for $349, already $30 off its regular price. The saw comes with a 20-volt, 8-amp-hour battery and a charger. Once you hit “add to cart,” the free 20-volt, 8-amp-hour battery will be added to your cart, adding another $229 in savings, 42% off the usual price for this combo. A sawsall can be used for rough cutting boards or branches for demolition, yard work, or trimming.

The DeWalt 20-volt angle grinder, which can be used for cutting metal, grinding off the tips of screws or nails that poke through, and polishing is also 42% off with the same deal.

What do you think so far?

The DeWalt 20-volt, 10-inch double bevel cordless chop saw is on sale for $399, and you can get the same free battery deal with this saw, saving you another $249. That makes this combo a 40% savings on its typical price. The saw is a tool-only deal, so even with the free battery, you’ll need a 20-volt DeWalt battery charger to use it. This saw is sized well for trim and moulding cuts, allowing you to cut doorframe moulding or trim for cabinets.

Some of the best woodworking and DIY tools that DeWalt makes are included in a buy one, get two deal right now. To begin, you can choose a two-pack of DeWalt 20-volt, 5-amp-hour batteries that come with a charger for $299; when you click “add to cart,” you’ll be able to see a menu to choose your free items. Click “choose your free gifts” on the menu to the right, and you’ll be able to see your options.

My favorite tools on the list are a 20-volt cordless router for $249 and the 20-volt cordless hammer drill. I use my cordless router to cut moulding profiles and trim edges on facing, and I use my hammer drill for drilling into concrete and hard plaster. With these two tools selected, you can save 62% off the final price, but you can also choose a jig saw or a random orbital sander to go with your batteries. This is a good deal if you already own some DeWalt tools and are looking to expand because the variety of tools means you can choose tools for your particular project, and the extra batteries mean you can keep working without waiting for your batteries to charge.
