Job
Summary
Coordinate the delivery of all
aspects of Career Advantage programs in assigned schools. Assist with the coordination of
NACEP requirements and related activities within
assigned schools.
Essential Functions
Responsible for ensuring site
leadership and school partners understand NACEP
program requirements and curricular objectives. Consult with Career Advantage Directors,
NACEP Coordinator, academic advisors, and Career
Advantage Specialist in delivery of the program in accordance with DE, NACEP, and HLC
standards.
Coordinate scheduling for DMACC
Career Advantage courses in assigned school districts.
Lead the DMACC Career
Academy at Southridge academic programs. This includes
scheduling of academy programs for the site and coordination with academic leadership
for assignment of faculty and associated load.
Assist in communication of DE related items to concurrent enrollment faculty and site
leadership. Keep informed about legislative updates
that impact the delivery of concurrent enrollment courses.
Serve as primary point
of contact to facilitate gathering of all required
information/documentation regarding qualifications for concurrent instructors. Assist in
the process of credentialing Career Advantage
Adjuncts. Consult with Career Advantage Director and appropriate Academic Deans about
qualifications.
Assess, plan, and initiate
programs and services in cooperation with assigned school districts for the purpose of
increasing enrollment and awareness of opportunities
through DMACC. Represent DMACC as requested in outreach and marketing capacities.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in Education Administration or
related area. - Three years of
professional experience in an educational setting that includes administrative or leadership experience
in teaching, training and
development or other related area. - Ability to interpret and apply rules and regulations.
- Strong
communication
skills. - Ability to plan, organize and manage time.
- Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain professional
relationships
with a wide variety of individuals coming from varied backgrounds. - Knowledge of current software applications.
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of high school policies and procedures in delivery of courses and
programs. - Knowledge of state law and Dept. of Education policy as it relates to K-12 and community college sharing
agreements. - Experience in developing new products (programs, courses, curriculum) in an education setting. Experience with databases
and spreadsheets in an educational setting.
