Department Summary
The Events, Outreach, and Recruitment Coordinator directly supports the overall Career
Services outreach and strategy. They will be responsible for the planning and execution of all Career Services events, including two large
campus wide career fairs, a number of niche fairs and other professional development and networking opportunities for students and alumni.
This role will coordinate logistics and create schedules for employer campus visits, oversee Career Services space reservations, manage the
inventory of event materials and promotional materials, and create unique marketing plans to reach all Ohio University students, alumni and
employers. This role also oversees Handshake operations, including the review of employers requesting to recruit at Ohio University,
reviewing job submissions from recruiters, creating employer profiles, approving/declining requests, monitoring employer accounts, and/or
editing employer roles on Handshake. In addition, the Coordinator will supervise a team of undergraduate students who provide customer
service to students and employers, facilitate career closet appointments, and assist with event planning activities. Supervision includes
overseeing the hiring, training and professional development of student supervisees and meeting one-on-one with students for supervision
each week.
Position Profile
Plans and organizes campus events. Manages logistics such as
facilities, tickets, concessions, caterers, vendors, event communications, and technical support for events. Works with speakers, vendors,
and staff to ensure successful event execution. Manages communications across the event team, providing smooth and seamless event
experiences.
Level Summary
Provides professional expertise to the University community. Serves
as a resource and guide to others in the department and/or university. Completes operational tasks essential for the daily functioning of
the University. Additionally, contributes to larger projects or initiatives that align with department or University goals, often
collaborating across teams.

No budgetary responsibility. May be responsible for
validating transactions.

Physical Requirements
This role is primarily desk-based and involves extensive use
of desktop computers. Occasionally, the job may require travel to attend meetings and programs.
Minimum
Qualifications
Requires a Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 3-5 years of related professional experience, or
equivalent education and experience.

Pay
Rate: The proposed salary range for this position is $44,592 to $74,196. The salary negotiated at the time of offer will be
