Summary Description: The Internship Coordinator is responsible for connecting students with valuable internship opportunities that align with their academic and career goals. This position involves building relationships with employers, assisting students in securing internships and job-shadowing roles, and providing support thoughout the internship experience. This position also involves assisting the Moser Center for Entrepreneurial Leadership with marketing materials and event planning.
Essential Functions:

Responsibilities include the following:
- Establish a process and procedures protocol for the internship/job-shadowing program.
- Collaborate with Department of Business faculty to develop a structured practicum/internship program that meets the needs of the students and the mission of the university.
- Establish and maintain relationships with employers and businesses to create placement opportunities for the students.
- Work closely the Department of Business faculty to promote and fill internships/job-shadowing opportunities.
- Promote the university as a valuable resource for potential interns and full-time employment candidates.

- Assist students in preparing application materials and provide guidance on interviewing skills, resume building, and professional etiquette.
- Maintain regular contact with interns and employers to assess satisfaction and make improvements as needed.
- Prepare reports on the status and outcomes of the internship program.
- Participate in university events, such as career fairs and information sessions, to raise awareness of the internship program.
- Develop social media content and marketing materials to promote the Moser Center for Entrepreneurial Leadership events.
- Support the planning, coordination, and execution of events hosted by the Moser Center.

Education: Bachelor’s degree
Experience: Previous experience in higher education, career advising, or internship program coordination is preferred
Required Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills; knowledge of academic programs, majors, and industry trends; proficiency in data management and record-keeping systems, ability to prepare performance reports for the university stakeholders, commitment to fostering a diverse and inclusive internship program..
